Creative drive:
“My ‘drive to create’ keeps changing. When I was younger I had ideas of becoming a ‘Great Artist’, and whatever that image entails. Lately my motivations seem more personal. I have an idea, and the desire to translate it to a physical medium follows. Sometimes I hold on to my ideas for years I don’t get the time to work on them. While in my mind, I am always wondering if I can create them or not. This happens with all of my work whether it is graphic art or the silver.”
Key emotion represented in her work:
“The key emotion for me is the idea of legacy, leaving something of myself that will exist when I no longer do. The oddest thoughts happened upon in art or literature occasionally have a wonderful unforeseen impact in the future.”
Thoughts on sharing art:
“I think that working and developing a talent is a responsibility, and requires a commitment not unlike parenting or being married. It is not for the faint of heart.”
